This Book is an easy and fun source of study for all ages 8 and up. It includes a catechism of the basic principles. Since The Constitution is written in a language difficult to understand this eliminates that problem for everyone. The catechism system was used in the schools in the early days of America
Beyond that it includes explanations, analysis and commentary on each of the 15 principles.
In keeping with the principle of a limited Federal Government it includes a list of the few powers granted to the Federal Government by The Constitution and its various amendments.
All other powers, and they are many, belong to The States and we-the-people as required by the Tenth Amendment.
It also includes the few limitations and obligations imposed on the States by The Constitution.
You can’t understand the Constitution until you understand its principles.
Many patriotic Americans have an uneasy feeling that something has gone wrong with our government. And it has. The Constitution of the United States is the Supreme Law of the Land, and it is specifically designed to control the government that it creates so that it protects the rights and liberty of we-the-people. Unfortunately, our leaders are not applying its principles to perform that most important duty.
We-the-people own the Constitution and the government, not the other way around. Therefore, to return the government to performing its most important duty it falls upon we-the-people to do the main work. And in order for us to do that, we must understand the operating principles and then elect leaders who will abide by those principles.
We have our work cut out for us. While understanding the principles is easy, the work of restoring liberty won’t be easy. Liberty is fragile, and requires unrelenting monitoring by its owners, we-the-people. We can no longer shirk this responsibility and keep our liberty.
I hope you will take a chance on this easy-to-understand little book and join with many other average Americans who are awakening to our awful situation and start doing your part in defending and restoring liberty. There is a part to play for every patriotic citizen, whether that part is big or small. Becoming involved in politics has its dangers. Being an honest person in the field of politics invites a lot of criticism. Most people who become involved in politics either soon lose their honesty, or quit the business. But there are thousands of other ways to make a difference, and every little bit counts.
Hopefully you can at least become an informed voter. An uninformed voter is likely to succumb to promises of sweet-talking politicians promoting ideas that the government is going to take care of our every need. But you, as an informed voter you will know how to vote for liberty.
At the very least, you can pray the slogan, God Bless America. The work ahead will be hard but well worth the effort.
Liberty ain’t for sissies.
